Spring Fling Clothing Swap

Has your clothing style changed or has your lifestyle changed?
Become a new mom?
Start a new Job?
Or just love having new clothes in your closet?
You’ve come to the right place. A clothing swap is a fun, ecological way to get some new-to-you clothing and accessories for a wardrobe you will use and love while you get rid of unwanted stuff. You will enjoy food, drinks, music, socializing and FREE clothes. The first hour enjoy appetizers, drinks, music & socializing while we sort the clothing. Clothing will be organized by item (shirts, dresses, pants) to make things simple.
Here’s what you do:
- Clean out your closets!
- Wash and sort your unwanted clothing into these categories: women’s, men’s, kid’s: tops, sweaters, outerwear, shorts, pants, skirts, dresses, lingerie, footwear, accessories, bags, jewelry.
- If possible, put nicer clothing on hangers and pack the rest neatly in boxes and bags.
- Dress in loose comfortable clothing and a leotard. Leave valuables at home.
- THE MORE YOU BRING THE MORE YOU LEAVE WITH! To be sure everyone leaves with a fair amount compared to what they donated, each item you bring will be sorted into categories as follows: cheap, mid-priced and expensive. The donator decides the category for each item donated and then receives credit for an item in the same category. A credit is given in the form of a colored ticket, to correspond with the price category, on which they will write their name.
- Once everyone has received tickets for their donated items, the tickets are put into a drawing box. One at a time tickets will be drawn and that person gets to pick an item of their choice from the corresponding category.
- If someone chooses an item that somebody else really wants then they must object. If there is an objection then we will play a game to see who gets the item.
- Any unclaimed items will be donated to the Goodwill.
Oversize promo t-shirts you got for free, hyper-color “Hammer” pants you’ve been hanging onto for nostalgia’s sake, and just about anything you bought at the souvenir shop on your last family vacation will not appeal to your friends. Please don’t bring these types of items. No stains, rips, tears, etc. Missing buttons etc, is ok, as long as the item can be reasonable repaired.
